§ ABiography

Dmitry Shteyn is the publisher, curator, editor, and maintainer of the UAP Archive — an open research archive of publicly available UAP/UFO incidents, government programs, historical events, and related documentation. Dmitry does not author the historical incidents catalogued here; he organises, verifies, and preserves the public record with clear attribution to original sources.

§ BMission

To preserve, organise, and make searchable the public record of Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena — 1561 through 2026 — while consistently attributing every incident to its original reporting source, witness, government body, or publication.

§ CEditorial standards

Every entry is drawn from publicly available material. Nothing is invented, dramatised, or speculatively attributed. Where sources conflict, the disagreement is preserved in the record rather than resolved by editorial fiat. Status labels (unexplained, contested, explained, hoax) reflect the current state of public documentation, not the publisher's opinion.

§ DVerification process

Sources are checked against at least one primary or peer-reviewed reference where available. Government references cite the originating agency and document identifier. Media reports cite outlet and publication date. Contested cases are labelled and the dispute is described in the entry itself.

§ ESource attribution policy

The publisher (Dmitry Shteyn) is distinct from the original author, witness, or reporting organisation. Every case file names its original source when known. The archive claims no authorship of historical incidents, third-party reports, or government documents — only editorial responsibility for how they are organised and presented.
